Description
«Fair is foul, and foul is fair.» Amidst a thunderstorm, three witches open Shakespeare's masterpiece about greed for power and guilt with their dark prophecy. They are the driving force behind the rise and unstoppable fall of a man who desires more than he is entitled to.
When the Scottish general Macbeth is foretold a bright future by three witches, a dangerous ambition awakens in him. Driven by his wife and blinded by the prospect of power, he takes action and triggers a spiral of murder, mistrust, and betrayal. Guilt and fear push Macbeth and Lady Macbeth further into the abyss. Yet, the power gained brings no peace.
The TNT Theatre presents Shakespeare's gripping tragedy in an energetic production, making the timeless struggle between ambition and conscience immediately tangible.
