Luiza Braz Batista, Paul Hess & Lucyna Zwolinska "DEKAdance"

Description

Saturday, Nov. 28, 8 PM Scenario Halle Luiza Braz Batista, Paul Hess & Lucyna Zwolinska "DEKAdance"
Pina Bausch 2.0 Former Pina Bausch dancers present dance theater about consumption, transience, and the loss of authenticity. The piece reflects on a society that is increasingly losing balance – caught between growing consumption, faster pace, and constant global connectivity. Fleeting pleasures, the pressure to be successful or special, and the constant search for immediate gratification shape the daily life of many people and can create distance, while genuine connections become fragile. In DEKAdance, dance, sound, and body language merge into a compelling portrait of societal alienation. The trio creates powerful images between glittering facades and fragile intimacy – a dance on the shards of our consumer culture. The piece raises questions about time, change, values, and priorities – questions that concern us all. It addresses the loss of closeness, the allure of fleeting pleasure, and the longing for genuine connection. Through dance, DEKAdance invites reflection on the price of consumerism, the fragility of human relationships, and our own role in society – and to imagine what future we want to shape together.
