Isi and Rainer are really not the most attractive tenants. The two have been called Easy&Rider by everyone for fifty years and are still true hippies. They have never been as interested in career and household as they are in grass, Janis Joplin, and free love. Unfortunately, after a notice due to personal use, they have to leave their cozy apartment. On the tough Karlsruhe rental market, the crazy retirees would actually have no chance if their granddaughter didn't suggest a quick makeover. From aging hippies, they become a wealthy artist couple with their own gallery in New York. And it even goes well – until suddenly their entire chaotic family wants to move into the chic apartment at Gutenbergplatz.
