LUBOŠ POSPÍŠIL & 5P Luboš Pospíšil continues his endless tour, a matador of the Czech scene with a voice you can't mistake and his energy-packed, rejuvenated band 5P back in Svitavy after years. This time with an emphasis on the 40th anniversary of the album ... And don't shoot the lover. Luboš Pospíšil is experiencing one of the happiest periods of his more than fifty-year career, highlighted by the solo CD Poesis Beat and the best-of album "Three Quarters of a Century" for the recent 75th birthday of the legend. After the tour for the significant album Private Elegy (which received a gold record!) and the retrospective tour Route 66 for the Supraphon 13CD complete set, Luboš entered the Beat Hall of Fame... and now he is reaping all the fruits and accolades in venues from Šumava to Ostrava, increasingly sold out. In October 2019, he gifted himself the first live album titled Ostrava !!! Live. In its spirit, the post-COVID concerts were held, including two sold-out shows at the Prague Lucerna Music Bar. And this year is mostly sold out as well. The current tour offers a cross-section of the entire protagonist's career - the audience will enjoy proven songs from the golden era (Jekyll and Hyde, Private Journey to Nowhere...), but also "younger" hits (A Land Was Born, So Visit the Bar, Poesis Beat...) and two completely new songs. Pospíšil's tenor is secured by drummer Jakub Nývlt (also Sto zvířat, Oskar Petr...), electric guitar is tamed by Mirek Linhart (YoYo Band), the keyboards of bandleader Ondřej Fencl (Schodiště, V. Merta, Marsyas, Hromosvod…) solidify the bottom, the rhythm is completed by bassist Jan Neruda (Věra Martinová, Tribute to Z. Navarová...), and on percussion, guest Michal Hnátek (Divadlo Elf, Jan Hrubý and friends...) adds color. A unique feature on stage is the well-rehearsed four-part harmonies as another hallmark of the current 5P, united around Pospíšil. The strength of the collective breaks down generational barriers, the band plays with joy, even though some songs are older than some of the performers. And perhaps that's why. The current 5P albums are adorned with positive journalistic responses, but also decent sales for their time; in connection with Private Elegy, reviewers wrote about "the best album since And don't shoot the lover. Tour after tour, L. P. plays around eighty concerts a year. As if those 76 crosses were not there, but half as many. Admission:
