Year after year, Europe's best AC/DC tribute band brings electrifying energy to the year's end – a tradition that continues this winter. On December 18 and 19, the five rock enthusiasts return to the Pratteler rock temple and unleash a spectacular fireworks display of hits from the Australian rock giants over two evenings – accompanied by hellish bells, bagpipes, and the thunderous bang of cannons. Just like the motto: Let There Be Rock! For more than five decades, the name AC/DC has stood for uncompromising hard rock and legendary live shows. Over 200 million records sold and world tours in sold-out arenas speak for themselves. The formation live/wire emerged over 20 years ago from the merger of the two cover bands Riff Raff and Jailbreak in the Basel region – and since then, they have been the most authentic AC/DC tribute that Europe has to offer. With incredible enthusiasm and a meticulously accurate show, the five musicians send their audience into ecstasy night after night. Singer Däny comes astonishingly close to his idol Brian Johnson with his voice, expression, and flat cap – one might believe the original is on stage. Guitarist Cello hits every note like Angus Young with his Gibson SG and storms across the stage in school uniform as if he has never done anything else. Adi provides the typical, straightforward Malcolm groove with his Gretsch, while Ronny on drums delivers the right punch in the best Phil Rudd manner. The sound is rounded off by Beat, who cements the foundation in the style of Cliff Williams with his four strings. Since their debut in the fall of 2002, the band has continuously evolved, and their repertoire now includes over 50 songs from four and a half decades of AC/DC history. The sound is authentic, the show full of energy – and together, live/wire brings the spirit of AC/DC to a new level with every show.
