THEATRE DAYS - COMPETITION The play is a radical retelling of the Medusa myth: A woman, stylized as a monster figure, raises her voice – against violence, against patriarchal structures, and against a millennia-long silence. In a kaleidoscopic fabric of memory, trauma, desire, and resistance, the text asks: What does it mean to be socialized and hurt as a woman in a patriarchal world? The play speaks out what many women cannot say without being judged. It gives a voice to those affected – to me, my friends, my fellow students. And probably to every second person in the audience. This results in a raw, precise, and deeply contemporary production that does not shy away from vulnerability – and at the same time opens new narratives.
