Le Pèlerinage de la Rose – l'Orchestre de Chambre de Genève

Description

- It is a very lovely story that Robert Schumann set to music a few years before his death. - Once upon a time, there was a pretty rose that had a secret dream: to become someone else, to become a young girl. Thanks to the Queen of Elves, her wish is granted and, along her path, she will meet a gravedigger, millers, and Max... - Told in music by a mixed choir, a children's choir, and some soloists, in its orchestral version, this story is adorned with images created live by illustrator Emma Bertin, who thus highlights the light and nature contained in the booklet. - A moment of poetry and elevation to experience with the family! - "Schumann has no equal in distilling the elixir of childhood. His language, the immense tenderness of his gesture, the romanticism so imbued with literature and fully invested humanism, show how much the being, the individual, can offer of his emotion, notably through the language of harmony." — Raphaël Merlin - DISTRIBUTION - Geneva Chamber Orchestra - Emma Bertin, illustrator - Lausanne Vocal Ensemble, choir - Maîtrise du Conservatoire Populaire PROGRAM - Robert Schumann, Der Rose Pilgerfahrt, op. 112, Oratorio in German surtitled in French A creation of the Rennes Opera
