Claudine leads a life without much story, within the Swiss middle class in a typical seventies villa, with a bay window and a living room fireplace.
Claudine is Fabrice Gorgerat's mother and the poignant subject of his latest show.
Stricken with Parkinson's disease, she has been fighting this chronic neurodegenerative disease for 20 years, likely caused by pesticides she was exposed to during her childhood, post-war. From the story of this fragile body, Fabrice Gorgerat creates a scenic and metaphorical poem. Underlying it is the decline of a aging Europe, hyper-technological and fragile. On stage, Fiamma Camesi, Shannon Granger, and Christophe Jaquet question Claudine's body. Trapped in their shrinking world, hindered in the most mundane gestures of domestic life, they fight, silently or in confidences, in a foldaway space that resists them.
