The lautten compagney BERLIN invites parents, grandparents, aunts, and godparents with babies under 18 months to experience early music up close. In the calm atmosphere of the Nazareth Church at Leopoldplatz, parents can enjoy music from the Renaissance and Baroque to minimal music and the Beatles, allowing for a short break from everyday life. The children listen, watch, and react. Music for the very, very little ones. For those perceiving their environment for the first time and discovering exciting sounds. The approximately 30-minute concerts are intentionally short and tailored to the needs of our youngest listeners and their parents. There will be no traditional seating, and the little ones can move freely around the church during the concert. Feel free to bring your own blankets. SOUL PEACE: Works by Heinrich Schütz, his students, and successors Gabriel Mölich, Christoph Bernhard, Johann Theile, Andreas Hammerschmidt, and others. Few other composers of the 17th century influenced so many students as Heinrich Schütz. They carried his legacy as choir masters and cantors into churches, schools, and residences. In the works of his successors, Schütz's influence echoes far beyond his own time. The lautten compagney, at home with 17th-century music for four decades, illustrates the stylistic path of Heinrich Schütz's students from Mölich through Bernhard and Weckmann to Theile.
