Lakecia Benjamin is a five-time Grammy-nominated saxophonist, arranger, and composer from New York. As the winner of the German Jazz Award 2023, the New Yorker is now in demand in Europe as well as in the legendary clubs of her homeland. Her live shows are captivating and energetic, and her artistic message is often political. Her new project "We Dream" is deliberately band-centered and connects her with her longtime companions on piano, bass, and drums to form a strong collective.
