«Alma (Isabelle Huppert) lives alone in a bourgeois city villa, equipped with expensive paintings and a housekeeper. Mina (Hafsia Herzi) has Arab roots and works in a suburban cleaning service to support herself and her two children. The two women have nothing in common – except that their husbands are incarcerated in the same prison and they organize their lives around their absence. After their first meeting, Alma energetically adopts Mina's company: she takes her into her large house, which is closer to the prison, finds her a new job, and successfully enrolls the children in the neighborhood school.
