with dance, theater, and music for children from 4 years old and adults Lew Tolstoi, who is rarely limited to a thousand pages, also wrote a few enchanting miniature stories for children, essences of about ten lines. They touch on fundamental themes of existence in a humorous and moving way: connection, responsibility, and love, but also loneliness, pain, and death are not spared. With basic materials like straw, wool, earth, or bread dough, a dancer and an actress bring these Tolstoyan pearls to life. They play and dance with lots of music and humor the various characters – children, a grandmother, even a dog and a bird – and delve into their seemingly small stories. Team:

Rogner and Städler create images, moments, atmospheres, into which the audience is skillfully and unobtrusively integrated. What Rogner narrates in sentences limited to the essentials and depicts with precise gestures, Städler visualizes with her dance; she transforms it into another language that nevertheless engages in dialogue with Rogner as well as with the materials on stage (earth, wool, apples, etc.)."
