The concert opens with Shostakovich's lively Concertino in A minor, followed by Philip Glass's hypnotic Four Movements for Two Pianos. Schumann's Pictures from the East evoke a poetic realm of imagination and delicate nuances, while Bohuslav Martinů's Fantasy for Two Pianos and the lively Czech Dances add spirited rhythms and virtuosity.
