Description
Live music: IOKOI with Mara Miccichè (electronics, voice) The so-called 'French Impressionism' significantly influenced cinema during the silent film era. With Brumes d’automne and La glace à trois faces, our program brings together two outstanding examples that provided important impulses for the cinematic staging of subjective moods. While Kirsanoff's short film Innenwelten expresses its female character entirely without action, Epstein embeds her in a nested narrative structure that nonchalantly shifts between time and space levels. Three women long for the same carefree bon vivant. Can this end well? (dw) In cooperation with the IOIC (Institute of Incoherent Cinematography)
