Description
A musical storytelling and reading journey that intertwines the Jewish family histories of Katja Früh and the Viennese Gulda brothers. The three share the same "ancestors" and many other common denominators, such as the Jewish origin of their mothers, their profession as actresses, and marriages to famous but difficult men (Kurt Früh and Friedrich Gulda). Katja Früh and David Gulda read from their respective works "Maybe Love Is Like That" (Diogenes) and "Loew – Life Paths of a Jewish Family" (Böhlau Verlag). They are musically accompanied by Paul Gulda (including works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Franz Schubert, Frédéric Chopin, and Friedrich Gulda). He also sings in six languages from Yiddish to Croatian. This creates an exciting and very touching evening that not only leads through family and world history and moves deeply but also includes humor. This event takes place as part of "Zürich liest'26".
