Kapela Bárka in the music pavilion Rondel features cellist Pavel Barnáš and harpist Ivana Pokorná. Both musicians have been active for decades in renowned professional orchestras, but they also wished to perform pieces of their own choosing, in a small ensemble, without sheet music and a conductor's baton. They mainly focus on evergreens and film melodies, which resonate impressively in the unusual combination of their instruments. "Bárka offers a journey through various genres with harp and cello - we navigate through turbulent and calm waters and enjoy the joy of music," summarized Pavel Barnáš, cellist of the Czech Radio Symphony Orchestra in Prague and, among other roles, director of the Okolo Třeboně festival with a thirty-year tradition. Ivana Pokorná is a member of the National Theatre Orchestra and has always enjoyed collaborating with musicians from other musical genres. In Kapela Bárka, she plays the Celtic harp, which is smaller and lighter than the one she uses in the large orchestra. "In short, we took our instruments on our shoulders and set out in our free time to explore new waters that will bring us greater freedom and adventure."
