Castle Advent Days: Jindřichův Hradec

Castle Advent Days 2026 organized by the National Heritage Institute, State Castle and Chateau Jindřichův Hradec, and the Society for the Restoration of Monuments in Jindřichův Hradec will take place on the second Advent weekend, December 5 and 6. The five-hundred-year-old Black Kitchen will be in operation again and is looking forward to the annual visit of many of its admirers. It will not be alone in offering delicacies. Tea, coffee, mulled wine, magical drinks, roasted chestnuts, and a selection of fish specialties will be served at the market stalls. The market will welcome both regular and many new vendors of original goods. A more complete overview of the program and performers will be added soon, but it is already certain that a blacksmith, potters, sculptors, and others will showcase their skills. In the Spanish Wing, in addition to a café and the sale of original goods, two creative workshops for young and old are prepared. The Castle Advent Days are co-financed by the city of Jindřichův Hradec. All performances can be viewed for free. Only 40 Kč is charged for entry to the castle grounds.
