Description

Světem křížem krážem Travel of the nobility in archival documents. Traveling was part of the lifestyle of the nobility in the 19th and 20th centuries. Organizing trips, as well as capturing certain places in the form of drawings or experiences and memories in diary entries, is reflected today in numerous archival materials stored in the Jindřichův Hradec archive. In connection with the project Year of the Nobility, the State Regional Archive Jindřichův Hradec and the Administration of the Jindřichův Hradec Castle and Chateau prepared the exhibition Světem křížem krážem, travel of the nobility in archival documents. Using the example of four noble families (Czernin of Chudenice from Jindřichův Hradec, Paar from Bechyně, Schönburg from Hartenstein from Červená Lhota, and Nádherný from Borutín from Chotoviny), trips to Italy, Egypt, as well as to Russia and India will be presented.
