1000 voices in the head – but the diagnosis is: great entertainment. In his new program KAMISI, entertainer, parodist, and voice artist Thomas Nicolai takes the audience back to the 80s – a time long before streaming, Spotify, and playlists. Back then, you still had to hunt for music: with the cassette recorder in front of the radio. And if the host talked over the song too early, everything was ruined. "Band Salat" was not a meal but a drama – especially without a pencil. What follows are two hours of pure entertainment. Comedy, music, parody – tempo, wit, and joy of playing without a break. Musically, it ranges from Depeche Mode, Suzanne Vega, and Soft Cell to surprising excursions to Max Raabe and Coldplay. Nicolai virtuously jumps between voices, characters, and songs – igniting a real fireworks display of parody. Naturally, including a completely out-of-control "Wetten, dass..?" parody, where Klaus Kinski and Udo Lindenberg compete as contestants. By his side: the brilliant keyboardist Robert Neumann, who can do everything musically – and is happy to be involved in any silliness and to make a fool of himself again. A show like a time travel to the 80s – only funnier, faster, and without shoulder pads. The most entertaining two hours you can currently spend in a theater.
