Description

Normally, Gregor is the first to get up and go to work. He brings money home for the whole family. On the morning our story begins, something is different. Gregor does not get up, does not go to work. He stays in bed. The mother, father, and sister hear strange noises from Gregor's room. Gregor has transformed. Mother, father, and sister do not know what to do. The transformed Gregor has no place in their lives. He dies. We tell the story because we wish for a world where there is room for all Gregors. So that we dare to be who we are. Even if that brings change. Kafka for children? Yes! The questions arising from Kafka's story appear at all times, in every place of our lives, and arise in every family, every society: How do we deal with the incomprehensible, with disturbance, with the foreign? In the play, the audience sits right in the middle of the action and experiences the story up close.
