This concert takes the audience on a musical journey from the refined elegance of early classical to the radical expressions of late Beethoven. The program opens with Joseph Bologne's overture to 'L’amant anonyme', followed by Haydn's C Major Cello Concerto, highlighting the transition from baroque influences to virtuosic brilliance. The evening concludes with Beethoven's F Major String Quartet, Op. 135, performed in a larger orchestral setting, emphasizing its intimate power. Julia Hagen, renowned cellist, brings her natural warmth, vitality, and daring to this performance, conducted by Pablo Hernán Benedí with the Zürcher Kammerorchester.
