We believe we know his story. A man whose name has become a synonym for betrayal: Judas Iscariot. His kiss changed the world. But do we know the whole truth? In every era, there are new speculations about Judas's mostly selfish motives. Now it is time for the disciple himself to speak. Stepping out of the shadow of centuries-long condemnation, he comes into the spotlight to show us that history can also be told differently, as the service of a friend who helped Jesus carry out his plan: to die in order to become immortal. Was it all predestination, free will, or even a chain of unfortunate coincidences? Judas's self-staged show is both eyewitness account, defense speech, and image campaign. The monologue takes place in local church spaces, which become co-players in the production.
