Night Café: Concert Festive trumpet sounds, jazzy American Christmas classics – for many, Christmas is associated with this, and that’s what Joo Kraus (trumpet, effects, vocals), Fola Dada (vocals), and Martin Meixner (piano) will jointly present in a tasteful interpretation this evening. But – the three wouldn’t be themselves if it remained at that. So, less familiar and non-cliché Christmas-themed music from jazz, gospel, and pop will also be heard. When vocals, trumpet, and piano alternate, intertwine, and merge, intimate and contemplative moments are created. The three exceptional musicians share many years of artistic experience, reflected in numerous awards (including Echo, German Jazz Award, Grammy nominations), successes (gold records), and collaborations (songwriting for Tina Turner, SWR Big Band, Klaus Doldinger feature, among others). But above all, they are united by the joy of making music together and the immediate moment. And when would be a better time than Christmas?
