Night Café: Radio Play Concert The Nuremberg Midnight Story Orchestra is the pioneering project of the radio play concert. In "The House of Usher," the six atmospherics combine the power of storytelling with the energy of music, transporting their audience during the dark season into the mysterious world of midnight stories. In the first part, Edgar Allan Poe's haunting atmospheric masterpiece "The Fall of the House of Usher" is performed: an old manor surrounded by black waters and pale reeds becomes the setting for mysterious delusions and dark abysses. After the break, Ray Bradbury's "Usher 2036" takes the story into a futuristic world where a ban on imagination prevails. With black humor and powerfully grooving musical titles, a sophisticated continuation of the dark original is created. Actor Frank Strobelt lends his voice to the narration, while the Midnight Story Orchestra creates a powerful soundtrack with electronic soundscapes and spectacular solos. Image: Felix Wöllmer
