The award-winning singer-songwriter and author Joe Bennick offers a live experience of a special class with his guitar and his unique voice. He creates sound images for dreaming along and immersing with his songs and layered lyrics, which he presents entertainingly and skillfully. With fine intuition and empathy, he explores great emotional worlds in an exciting musical interplay. Joe Bennick writes the music and lyrics of his songs himself. In content, he operates in the tension between stagnation and change. What appears contradictory lives in constant coexistence; the rational leaves room for emotion, metaphorical and literal coexist without creating breaks. Joe Bennick reflects moments and phenomena in his songs that are familiar but also gives us a glimpse into his very personal emotional worlds. It is the contrasts that give Joe Bennick's art its special charm. He combines bright, radiant sounds with energetic lyrics and gentle poetry with powerful sound. This makes him a stylistically diverse artist, whose music is not only an expression of his lyrics but also an allusion to the contradictory nature of feelings. Already on his debut CD, Bennick alluded to the supposed incompatibility of things with the title "In close distance." The singer-songwriter Joe Bennick is also active as an author. In 2016, his first novel was published, followed by his first poetry collection in 2021. He is a regular guest on Germany's concert stages and has found his place in the singer-songwriter spectrum between folk-pop and acoustic indie. For his second album "blossom and gloom," he was awarded the German singer-songwriter prize of the German Pop Foundation in 2021. In 2023, his current album "winter" was nominated for the renowned German Record Critics' Award.
