Description
The Plastic Modelers Club of České Budějovice and the House of Children and Youth of České Budějovice, in cooperation with the South Bohemian Museum, invite you to a one-day exhibition and competition of plastic models Jihočeský kapr. There will be various models on display, including airplanes, military equipment, ships, cars, and more in different scales. The event is open not only to registered modelers but also to the general public. It showcases the polytechnic education and manual skills of individual modelers and offers a way to spend free time for both children and adults. A new feature is the return of the paper model category to the competition, co-organized by the South Bohemian Patlals Club and Patlal from Vysočina. Modeling serves to explore history, not only of military conflicts but also of the development of military and civilian industry and technology. By learning about the history of specific types of models, one gains deep knowledge of historical events and contexts. The event is open to the public from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM. The basic admission fee is 70 CZK, and children under 12 enter for free. A ticket for this event also grants access to all exhibitions and displays in the main building of the museum. Food and drinks can be purchased on-site. The organizers do not provide parking spaces.
