Concert from the series « Jazz at the White House », under the artistic direction of Samuel Blaser Bruno Chevillon – double bass The idea of the State of the premises for this solo is that of architectural spaces to explore. Trying to draw their outlines, masses, surfaces, openings, air circulation (dear to Tadao Ando), verticalities or horizontality. All connected by thresholds, thresholds as passages from one state to another, like when passing from one room to another in a house. For this, electronics are of great importance, preventing the entire space (the building) from fragmenting, dislocating, no longer forming a whole. These effects are the essential binder for this journey. They can be very present or, on the contrary, very subtle, deafening or on the verge of disappearance, like the shadow of a sound, its always-present ghost in an imperceptible way in a room.
