Description

Émile Parisien, a brilliant and adventurous French saxophonist whose numerous awards at the Victoires du Jazz are well known, takes advantage of his two-year residency at the Théâtre de la Cité Internationale to explore new flavor combinations. Pianist Yaron Herman, another Victoires du Jazz laureate and chief improviser who freely explores rock, electro, and classical influences, is naturally drawn to this promise of alchemy. Disciple of Shankar Ghosh, Prabhu Edouard has accompanied major figures in Indian music. He is also one of the most eclectic tabla players, offering rich flavors that have already captivated Jordi Savall, Jeff Mills, and Magic Malik. They had announced a transatlantic breath for this exceptional concert: it will feature the moving Linda May Han Oh, "one of the most dynamic rising stars of today’s jazz" (Wall Street Journal), a Grammy winner. Perfect to spice things up and add a nearly metaphysical note to the combination. After several memorable appearances in La Chaux-de-Fonds, we look forward to seeing Parisien in this new project, at the crossroads of worlds and emotions.
