Our ensemble also encounters TIPPING POINTS – for example, when a member leaves us. Such a moment is approaching: At the end of 2026, our cellist Åsa Åkerberg will be leaving the ensemble. For over two decades, she has significantly shaped the sound and collaboration of the ensemble – her departure is a palpable loss for all of us. JAG GÅR PÅ SOL makes Åsa Åkerberg's long-term influence audible while also allowing new impulses to emerge. At the center is a composition commissioned from Ivo Nilsson, complemented by five miniatures from Carola Bauckholt, Ramon Lazkano, Kristine Tjøgersen, Séverine Ballon, and Ricardo Eizirik, each featuring the cello prominently. The concert title comes from Edith Södergran's poem Triumf att finnas till.../ Triumph of Existing and translates to: I walk towards the sun. We wish Åsa that a certain 'Walking on Sunshine' mentality never leaves her! Additional information:
