Description

The first part explains: how much water is needed in normal situations and during peak times, and how water suppliers ensure that consumers can access drinking water without restrictions even during a disruption. Another focus is on the increasing drought: how great is the risk that the drinking water in the Thurgau water castle will actually run out? The second part of the lecture explains what threats to drinking water are of a real nature and which ones — often driven by media reports — are perceived mainly as such. The quality of drinking water in Thurgau is described, and newly introduced maximum values are critically examined. The lecture is given by Dr. Sandro Brandenberger and Dipl. Nat.
