Irmgard Knef

Description

Irmgard Knef, Germany's longest-serving chanson cabaret artist, turns 100! The indestructible, singing and swinging entertainer has written a brand new program to celebrate her upcoming triple-digit milestone. The punchlines pop like champagne corks, humor bubbles up, and wit sparkles. Irmgard doesn't miss the chance to still stand on the stage that means the world, with dignity. Sometimes a bit wobbly, but always steadfast. Reflecting on past times and commenting on the current zeitgeist. Among the fit hundred-year-olds, Irmgard Knef is undoubtedly one of the most vital: 25 years of a career in German cabaret stages keep her young and her spirit alert.
