IRISH SPRING – FESTIVAL OF IRISH FOLK MUSIC 2027 In 2027, the Irish Folk Festival will again offer a cross-section of the Celtic folk music scene, featuring a duo and two bands that showcase the diversity of this music. The duo Cailíní will kick things off. Irish musician Ciara Brennan has won the prestigious 'All Ireland Fleadh' competition multiple times, both with the fiddle and in the singing category. Scottish Joanne McIver hails from the Isle of Arran and is skilled in the world of pipes, flutes, and whistles – a master of her craft. Joanne also possesses a wonderful singing voice. The Irish trio Peter Molloy, Declan Askin, and Sean Regan form the band Tulsk. Here, three virtuosos of their respective fields come together to offer traditional Irish music at the highest level. Instrumentally, they feature flute, whistle, guitar, fiddle, and vocals. Strong music and the musicians' backgrounds provide a glimpse into the 'Who's Who' of the Irish music scene. They are often referred to as a Gaelic Supergroup, and when you hear the five-member band Daimh, you realize this is no exaggeration. Awards like 'Best Folk Band in Europe' and 'Folk Band of the Year' are not easily earned. Angus Mackenzie, Gabe McVarish, Ross Martin, Murdo Cameron, and Ellen MacDonald create an unforgettable musical experience with bagpipes, fiddle, guitar, and vocals. As a dancer, Lenka Fairy has almost become a trademark of the Irish Spring Festival. Lenka has danced her way into the hearts of the audience in previous years, and we are excited that she will showcase her Irish dance skills for you again in 2027.
