All Ears Discover the history of the Valère organ, the oldest playable organ in the world. Enjoy the unique sounds of this instrument during a mini-concert improvised by the organist. Built by an unknown organ builder, the Valère organ was likely constructed between 1435 and 1437. The swallow’s nest-style gallery dates from around 1630. The instrument currently has eight stops. After gradually falling into disrepair in the early 20th century, the organ was meticulously restored in 1954 and can once again be played today. 3:00 PM, 25 minutes, Ages 16 and up, French, Free as part of “J’peux pas, j’ai musée!” every first weekend of the month.
