Description

Shakespeare has captivated the imPerfect Dancers Company. After dance adaptations of the classics "Macbeth," "Hamlet," and "Othello," a choreography based on the greatest love story of all time: Romeo and Juliet, follows. Of course, with musical quotes from Sergei Prokofiev's groundbreaking composition from 1938. The company was founded in 2009 by Walter Matteini and Ina Broeckx in Italy and is dedicated to contemporary dance. Their credo is that true perfection lies in imperfection. Thus, the company consists of very different and thus also individual dancers. The focus is on precise body work and fast-paced choreographies. This physical speed is particularly fitting for the story of "Romeo and Juliet," as the events escalate towards the end. Dance here also meets theatrical elements and characters to tell a more universal story of how far-reaching love is.
