In Dialogue - Fortress Constructions: Relic or Future?

Sibylle Marti is an assistant professor of Modern and Contemporary History at the University of Bern and researches, among other things, the cultural history of the Cold War as well as Switzerland in the 20th century. In the Salzmagazin, she, together with Cyrill Willi (Head of Mediation at the Nidwaldner Museum), examines the perception of fortress constructions using the example of the Fürigen Fortress – from its significance in the Cold War to its classification in the present. Take a look beyond the horizon with us! On dialogical tours through our permanent and special exhibitions, we address interdisciplinary questions on selected topics and objects with experts. The tours take place on Wednesday evenings; they start at 6:30 p.m. and last about 60 minutes.
