I D E N T I T Y – Jindra Rychlá and others (Fifth Performance)

Description

The dance performance I D E N T I T Y is based on the idea of the internal and external formation of human identity throughout life. At the center of the action are two characters – one who has already found her identity and is internally anchored, and the other who is in the process of searching, stumbling, and transforming. The project explores how the influence of a strong personality can affect, inspire, but also suppress the growth of another. Emphasis is placed on the dynamics of power, manipulation, as well as support, sharing, and mutual learning. A significant part of the production is the costume and the work with it. Its significance is not only aesthetic but becomes an active means of expression that, like both characters, undergoes development. The choreographer and one of the performers is Hana Gallinová. The second character will be portrayed by Klára Uhlířová. Jindra Rychlá / concept and visual design has been creating costumes for dance and movement performances for many years. She collaborates with dance companies and choreographers from around the world (ProART company, Kaori Ito, Martin Vraný, David Strnad, Hana Zanin, etc.). Since 2020, she has also been creating her own movement and visual projects, exploring further possibilities of expressive and visual application of costumes. Hana Gallinová / dance and choreography is a graduate of the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava. She currently shares her dance experiences from around the world at the Dance Conservatory in Brno. She organizes the international festival Tanečno and has long collaborated with the Orbita association. Her strong point is the ability to improvise and her unique approach to each movement role. Klára Uhlířová (Müllerová) / dance is a graduate of the Dance Conservatory in Brno. She has successfully collaborated with ProART company for several years. She connects both classical and contemporary dance in her movement. Her strong point is her solid dance education and ability to work independently with a character. The project is created with financial support from SFK ČR. The first performance of I D E N T I T Y took place at INDUSTRA on June 21, 2025. Entry to the auditorium will not be allowed after the start of the performance. An hour before the start, the INDUSTRA theater bar will be open, which will remain open after the performance depending on visitor interest. We love animals at INDUSTRA, but the theater hall is not a suitable environment for them due to loud sounds – we recommend leaving your four-legged companions at home. We kindly ask visitors in wheelchairs and holders of ZTP/P cards to inform us of their visit in advance at stage@industra.space so we can arrange a suitable place in time.
