Havel's Architecture

Description

Václav Havel comes from a famous architectural family. His grandfather designed and built the Lucerna Palace, and his father, among other things, the Barrandov villa district and the famous Barrandov Studios. However, Václav Havel's life journey took a completely different direction. Nevertheless, thanks to him, a number of significant architectural projects were created – especially at Prague Castle, but not only there. The exhibition will showcase his collaboration with world-renowned architects Eva Jiřičná, Bořek Šípek, Josef Pleskot, and Petr Franta, touching on the most famous buildings of the Havel builders and the personality of Václav Havel. The exhibition will be accompanied by sculptures by Zdeněk Makovský.
