HUZA Fusion

Description

HUZA Fusion is an innovative music project that brings together musical traditions from Rwanda with European classical music in a contemporary dialogue. Five musicians from Rwanda – with traditional percussion, Inanga (zither), and modern instruments – meet with pianist Konstantin Dupelius to develop a new, genre-crossing sound language. Based on East African rhythms, traditional playing styles, and motifs of European classical music, new musical-performative forms and contemporary fusion music emerge through improvisation, composition, and dance. HUZA Fusion brings Rwandan musical traditions into a contemporary dialogue with European classical music. At the Cargo Theater in H15 in Freiburg im Breisgau, five musicians from Rwanda, together with pianist Konstantin Dupelius, present a new, genre-crossing sound language.
