Description
"Circus tent!" shout some. "No, waterfall!" call others. "It's a shell!" insist the third. So what is it? In any case, something large and blue hangs in the space, and for the storyteller, it is a sea of stories. Just like in any other water, one can cast a line here – but with a bit of luck, stories will bite. Once they are pulled ashore, they should be told as quickly as possible before they dry out: about a fisherman and his wife, about a fox and a wolf on the open sea, about a snake man and a lizard man, and about other things in the water, on the water, and far from the water. Martin Ellrodt is a German storyteller and storytelling instructor, who has performed with his shows and courses on four continents at many festivals and in several languages. He collaborates with the Goethe-Institut and other international organizations, teaches at German universities, and is the author of books on storytelling. He perceives storytelling as the humblest form of theater, which does not require a stage, costume, or props, and which only needs minimal lighting. With the sheer power of spoken word, it is possible to transport the audience to another world, evoking images, scents, and sounds. Scenography: Jeannette Harendt The performance will be conducted in GERMAN without interpretation.
