Description
An almost surreal encounter with a butterfly triggers a flow of Nature Writing: In Rare Earths, Franz Maciejewski explores the difficult coexistence of humans and nature. Free from sentimentality, he tells of the beauty and fragility of a rare earth, on which life-hungry and desperate earthlings make their living. Based on the book, Rainer Horcher has created a musical work that is closely intertwined with the texts. With the HorchArt JazzEnsemble, atmospherically dense jazz sounds emerge, reflecting the various moods of the story. Dr. Franz Maciejewski is a cultural scientist and writes non-fiction books, essays, and literary texts as a freelance author. Rainer Horcher is a composer, clarinetist, and director of the HorchArt JazzEnsemble. Josefin Hirte – speaker
