Hölloch Day Expedition Wasserdom

Description

Visitors discover the magical Hölloch world under the safe guidance of a certified cave guide. The passages, which have been surveyed over 210 km so far, contain a unique and fascinating variety of shapes.

How is a cave formed? Why is the Hölloch so large? Is there life in the darkness? You learn all this and can enjoy the silence of this underground world.

On the 7-hour expedition to the Wasserdom, visitors follow the huge main passage to the giant hall. From there, you climb up to the old Dombiwak, where a well-deserved meal break is taken. Then it goes to the Wasserdom, a 30-meter-high underground waterfall. There is Nyphargus, a small cave amphipod, which has felt very comfortable in this place for thousands of years. From there, it gradually goes back.

This expedition is especially recommended for those participants who want to get to know the mighty Hölloch cave world but do not dare to take the 2-hour longer expedition to the Glitzertor due to their fitness and physical condition.

Groups of 6 or more people can define their own desired date. No special knowledge required; normal fitness is sufficient.
