Hölloch Beginner Tour

Description

Who wants to get a taste of expedition air? Then this approximately 3-hour program is just right. The tour is a pleasurable immersion into the silence and the vast dimensions of the Hölloch. It's not about the performance kilometers, but the quiet and peaceful moments away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life.

During the tour, you spend most of the time in the developed part of the cave, which was already equipped with paths and stairs by the Hölloch pioneers over 100 years ago. Visitors learn a lot of interesting things about the history of the Hölloch and cave research and experience fascinating moments, for example, when the group turns off the light and experiences what true darkness is and how it affects people.

There is also the possibility to make small detours into those cave areas where the larger tours start, to get a taste of expedition air. Certified cave guides from the Swiss School for Cave Exploration Hölloch SSH accompany the group on this tour and explain the formation of this mysterious underground world.

The tour lasts about three hours and leads through the developed part of the Hölloch in Muotathal.
