On Saturday, October 24, La Gravière offers you a double live show with 2 rising artists from the Francophone scene: Kyana & Surprise. Kyana is a Franco-Iranian singer and songwriter, known for her soft voice and lyrics that speak to those who remain silent. From her third single, she captivates a wide audience, which encouraged her to start her own independent label and live from her passion. After 3 EPs, she is preparing her return marked by a free and assertive feminine identity. Kyana does not sing to please; she sings to connect, survive, and love better. She is a mix of the violence we inherit and the tenderness we seek. Surprise is reality facing a distorting mirror. Her music reshapes the truth, giving it both laughable and detestable aspects. Her lyrics are characterized by an introspection that is as nonchalant as it is touching, the result of experimentation that has lasted since early childhood. Influenced by the fantasy of Kali Uchis and the versatility of Mac Miller, Surprise develops a unique identity. Its depth comes from the diversity of genres explored, from rap to jazz to house, featuring iconically with Mandyspie. Refusing codes, especially those prescribed for women, Surprise composes, raps, and sings with the same insubordination. With constant perfectionism, she releases an EP and an album between 2023 and 2024, leading to her first complete concert at La Boule Noire in early 2025 before appearing this summer in several festivals, establishing her as an artist to watch.
