Description
Helmut Eisel (clarinet) and Nino Deda (accordion and vocals) invite their audience on a magical journey: lively tunes and swing meet Balkan rhythms and Albanian folk melodies. Highly virtuosic and emotional pieces go hand in hand. Nino Deda hails from Durres (Albania), studied composition and piano at the music university in Tirana, and worked as a music teacher until he moved to Germany. Here, he is active as a cantor of the Protestant church community Neunkirchen/Wellesweiler and as a lecturer for piano and accordion, engaging in numerous projects with renowned musicians. Both Eisel and Deda lost a long-time friend and stage partner, Michael Marx, in 2022. Therefore, Klezmer Goes Balkan also contains some references to this great musician.
