Heidi

Description

The ensemble of the Young Theater Canton Zurich is once again performing this touching play about home, friendship, and the power of nature in Winterthur under the direction of Sophia Bodamer.

Heidi grows up happily with her grandfather in the mountains. She spends her days with Geissenpeter, herding goats, romping over alpine meadows, and sleeping contentedly in the hay. But her carefree life takes a sudden turn when Aunt Dete takes her to Frankfurt. There she is to live with a wealthy family and keep company with Klara, who has a mobility impairment. Although a deep friendship develops between the two girls, Heidi cannot overcome her homesickness – she longs to return to the mountains. When her wish finally comes true, she finds herself again with Alpöhi. But the story is not over yet: Klara follows Heidi to the mountains, discovers a whole new world – and experiences a small miracle.

For all ages 5 and up.
