HANS SCHLEIF

Description

Hans Schleif was an architect, archaeologist, family man, and high-ranking member of the SS. His grandson Matthias Neukirch, a member of the Schauspielhaus ensemble since 2015, embarked on a search for his biography. What he discovered is surprising, confusing, and raises new questions. He takes us on this journey through the depths of history to arrive in the present day. "He creates a very personal evening that, in a bizarre way, links ancient myths, the Holocaust, and wonder weapons. Rarely has history become so tangible," wrote Tom Mustroph of the Berliner Tagesspiegel. Participants and additional information: With Matthias Neukirch, directed by Julian Klein, stage design, evening performance management.
