Description
Franz Schubert Impromptus Op.90/3 Sofia Gubaidulina from Preludes for Solo Cello Pēteris Vasks Castello Interior for Violin & Cello Johann Sebastian Bach Partita No. 1 in B minor for Violin solo, BWV 1002
Dmitri Shostakovich Piano Trio No. 1 in C major, Op. 8 Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor, Op. 67 An evening between Baroque brilliance and modernity – the Hagemann Piano Trio connects sound worlds across eras and consolidates them into an evening of high tension and poetic density. The opening alternates between solo miniatures and duo moments: Schubert's three Impromptus Op. 90 in shimmering colors, from Sofia Gubaidulina's Preludes the intense inward look for solo Cello, Pēteris Vasks Castello Interior as a concentrated dialogue for Violin and Cello – and Bach's Partita No. 1 in B minor as a virtuosic, dance-like architecture.
After the break, Dmitri Shostakovich takes center stage – for his 120th birthday with two key works: the early Piano Trio No. 1 in C major, brilliant and vigorous, and Piano Trio No. 2 in E minor, whose glowing expressivity and dark sound speech are among the most moving moments of 20th-century chamber music. For over fifteen years, the soloists have regularly come together as the Hagemann Trio – driven by a shared love for classical chamber music and curiosity about the music of our time. A trio with profile: sonically homogeneous, interpretatively adventurous, close to the pulse.
