Founded in 2006, the Hackbrett-Jugendorchester Schweiz (HJOS) brings together motivated young hammered dulcimer players aged 16 to 25 from regions including Rheintal, Appenzellerland, St. Gallen, Zurich, Schaffhausen, and Aargau. Under the musical direction of Emanuel Krucker, Christoph Pfändler, and Dario Schmid, the orchestra performs a vibrant mix of pieces, celebrating international success from Italy and Hungary to China and Taiwan. Attendees can expect an engaging live performance that highlights the versatility and richness of the hammered dulcimer in a variety of musical styles.
