Once again, the Berlin cabaret theater "Die Distel" looks back at the year with satire. And there are plenty of topics. Winter Olympics, FIFA World Cup, and seemingly more state elections in Germany than there are federal states. And finally, Donald Trump still wants the Nobel Peace Prize, even though all American peace doves have already been filleted by ICE agents. But the Distel ensemble with Katharina Martin, Jens Neutag, and Axel Pätz accomplishes the nearly impossible: they manage to pack all political twists and the madness of everyday life into a fast-paced cabaret program of 2x50 minutes. "Gut im Abgang" is entertaining, musical, and if necessary, opinionated. And all the while, the ensemble fulfills a promise: this year in review is definitely better than the year itself!
