Guarneri Trio Prag – 40 Years in Original Line-up

Description

Viva, Beethoven! Ludwig van Beethoven Variations in E-flat major op. 44, Trio in D major op. 70/1 "Ghosts", Trio in B-flat major op. 97 "Archduke". Concert duration: approx. 95 minutes. The Guarneri Trio Prag is a loyal guest of chamber music around half past seven, but this performance will be very special: the ensemble celebrates 40 years in its original line-up, and that in a Beethoven year! The program is entirely dedicated to Ludwig van Beethoven: The variations in E-flat major op. 44 open the evening, followed by the dramatic "Ghosts" trio op. 70/1 and the monumental "Archduke" trio op. 97 – two of the most important works in piano trio literature. An evening that combines anniversaries and musical heritage and shows how four decades of playing together sound.
